How To Become A PEGNL Volunteer
As a self-regulating professional organization, PEGNL could not operate without the dedicated efforts of volunteer members. Approximately 200 volunteer engineers, geoscientists and others contribute many hours annually, conducting PEGNL’s regulatory and professional affairs.
If
you wish to become a volunteer with PEGNL, please download the
volunteer application form HERE and return to PEGNL via email: main@pegnl.ca,
fax: 709-753-6131, or in person at Suite 203, Baine Johnston Centre,
10 Fort William Place, St. John’s, NL. Applications received are
subject to a review process. The appointment of volunteers is subject
to the availability of positions on committees and subject to the
applicant’s qualifications meeting the requirements of the
available position(s).
Assessors for Competency Based Assessments
PEGNL has recently adopted the Competency Based Assessment Model to evaluate the experience and abilities of potential applicants for licensure. As part of that process, volunteer professionals review applications to determine if applicants have adequately demonstrated the core competencies necessary to become licensed to practice. To become a volunteer assessor, please find the application form HERE. After completing it, send to main@pegnl.ca.
