PEGNL member services focus on enhancing professional and personal continuous learning through Professional Development program, seminars, meetings, salary surveys, the annual conference, web site, electronic Dialogue and other publications.

PEGNL also offers Engineers Canada sponsored insurance and financial services plans to its current members.

Secondary Professional Liability Insurance Program

PEGNL has an agreement with XL Insurance Company Limited for the provision of a Secondary Professional Insurance Program.

The agreement between XL and PEGNL is completed annually. PEGNL has decided to cover the cost of the premiums from PEGNL’s operating budget and not to bill Members for the annual premiums of $10.00 per person.

The following is a certificate of Insurance and a Question and Answer document, which provides reference information about the about the coverage and further insight into the program.

Professional Liability Insurance

Administered by Encon Insurance managers, this program provides design/build, pollution, joint venture coverage, and many other features. More recently, the collaborative efforts of Encon, ACEC, and Engineers Canada led to the launch of Practice Management: A Practical Guide to Professional Liability for Design Professionals, the first text to deal with loss prevention from a Canadian perspective.
