Call for PEGNL Award Nominations

Once again, PEGNL Awards Committee invites nominations for PEGNL Awards to recognize the achievements of engineers and geoscientists. Nominations close August 31, 2007.

Engineers and geoscientists often fail to promote themselves and acknowledge the efforts of their peers, resulting in missed opportunities to credit people for their efforts and recognize the professions.

Through the PEGNL Awards, we recognize deserving individuals; foster high morale among professionals; and increase public awareness of our professions and their contribution to society.

PEGNL has seven awards that are available each year, including Honorary Membership, Award of Merit, Award for Service, the Environmental Award, the Early Accomplishment Award, the Community Service Award, and the Teaching Award.

Please visit PEGNL's website to read the award descriptions and submit the names of deserving candidates.

If you have a nomination or information useful to the Awards Committee, please contact Steve McLean at the PEGNL office, smclean@pegnl.ca, or call (709) 753.7714, or Fax (709) 753.6131.
