In Memoriam

William (Bill) Gordon Wegenast

Born January 8, 1925 in Thunder Bay (formerly Port Arthur), Ontario and died in St. John’s, NL on June 12, 2007, after a brief illness, aged 82 years. 

Predeceased by his beloved wife Jean Elizabeth “Zib” (nee Corlett) and survived by his children David Wegenast, (Charmaigne); Catherine Reid (Gerry); Jane Londero (Jean-Pierre) and Sue Wegenast, (Kara Beatty); grandchildren, Anton, Matthew, Elisa, Lucas, Luke, Kate and Mary and sister Catherine Wegenast of Thunder Bay. 

He graduated from Queen’s University, Science 1947, M.Sc. 1949, Professional Engineer. He taught at Memorial University Faculty of Engineering for many years and leaves behind a large circle of friends, colleagues and former students.
